Erica Edmonds (she/they)

Licensed Professional Counselor, Coach, and Curator of That Gray Zine

Erica approaches her work with both therapy and coaching through a decolonization lens, recognizing that individual healing is deeply interconnected with broader societal and cultural transformation. By acknowledging the impacts of colonialism and challenging oppressive systems, we embark on a collective journey of reclaiming agency within ourselves and our communities.

Drawing upon principles of decolonization, collective responsibility, and cultural reclamation, Erica aims to create safe and inclusive spaces for growth and exploration. Whether in therapy or coaching sessions, she provides a supportive environment where individuals can freely express themselves and confront personal challenges.

In addition to her foundational approach, Erica integrates various modalities to address diverse needs. Her training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) enables her to facilitate the processing of traumatic experiences. She is attuned to nervous system responses, incorporating Somatic Experiencing techniques to regulate and release stored tension and trauma. She also offers a variety of therapeutic modalities to adults such as humanistic, person-centered, existential, mindfulness, psycho-education, and expressive techniques. The therapeutic modality will vary depending on the persons needs.

Through a combination of intersectionality, culturally responsive practices, trauma-informed approaches, and expressive techniques, Erica guides people in exploring personal narratives, challenging dominant ideologies, and honoring diverse identities. Whether in therapy or coaching, the goal is transformative change — empowering individuals to navigate the complexities of healing and contributing to a more just and equitable world.
